the radiogram in the haunted hotel
Paul Farmer an artist, performs his story as part of the "droppers" exhibition exploring the counter culture. His story is a personal journey through the 60's and 70's where he joined the emerging counter culture that challenged the social and political status quo. Paul's poignant tale takes us to the current day where he reminds us that political protest has moved from action for change to action to defend.
Scattered Art is a series of temporary exhibitions, each lasting only for a few hours. They happen on a regular basis with new and exciting art in unusual locations. People have to log on in the morning to find out where the show will be. Submissions are open to any medium - including performance and music. This one day event was held in an empty shop in Truro, Cornwall.
Confinement [Life Through a Filter] was an interactive multimedia installation exhibited in London and Cornwall. The work was inspired by the exhibition space to convey the feelings of isolation and oppression felt by adolescents as they look for validation through a filtered screen. A fragile line is placed between reality and fantasy with the use of corrective apps and tools which create a persona. I collaborated with the artist Claire Stockings-Baker to produce this film, which was an integral part of the work.
Plastic Tree was another multimedia installation for the "Diskudha in the Landscape" Exhibition, Cornwall. Collaborating with the artist Claire Stockings-Baker and raising awareness to the damage caused to the environment of disused non-biodegradable waste.
